HUNTERS ONLY, 5-6 May 2026, Trigger Time Gun Club Ranch, Near Ft Morgan CO
This class is being offered in conjunction with Trigger Time Gun Club and Colorado Precision Rifle and will be conducted at TTGC Ranch near Fort Morgan, Colorado.
The HUNTERS ONLY course is designed for hunters seeking a basic, concise yet comprehensive course with modernized and proven techniques. We recognize that many hunters don’t want a course as “in-depth” as our Level 1 and 2 Courses, so if your looking to be effective and ethical out to 600 yards, this is the course for you! Recognizing that most real-world terrain doesn’t allow hunting from the prone, we will dedicate a 4 hour block of instructional shooting from elevated positions (such as rocks, fences, trees, shooting sticks and tripods). With thousands of students trained over the last 15 years of teaching, we have designed this course specifically to set hunters up for success! We’ve condensed this course into a 2 day course of fire for your convenience. All techniques learned in this course can be applied to any rifle affixed with a modern optic with a target turret and subtended reticle after the course.

Prerequisites: None.

Equipment Requirements;
Notebook, calculator, pens and or pencils
200 rounds of hunting (match grade) ammunition capable of producing 1.5 MOA or better accuracy and of the same lot number (you may bring more but this is the projected minimum)
Zeroed weapon - Zero’s will be checked before course can progress. If you don’t know how to zero, no worries, we will teach you.
Bolt Action or Semi Auto Rifle capable of 1.5 MOA or better accuracy. Short action, non-magnum calibers (6.5 PRC or similar being the only exception) This is nonnegotiable, if you don’t have an appropriate rifle we can provide you with a demo rifle and ammo (at an additional charge). This criteria is based on our tenure with thousands of students over the last 15 years of teaching. Our teaching experiences have revealed that magnum rifles always result in poor student experiences which detract from the students learning curve! High recoiling magnum rifles which heat up quickly and cool down slowly always create unforeseen challenges to the shooter and flow/efficiency of the course. Maximum muzzle velocity of 3200 ft/s.
Rifle scope with subtended reticle and target turrets. This is nonnegotiable, if you don’t have one we have loaners.
Bipod and sand sock (loaner sand socks and bipods are available during the course, to borrow a bipod your rifle must have a swivel stud, picatinny rail or ARCA SWISS rail).
